1. Introduction

Playminton ("Playminton", "we", "us") is a mobile app that helps badminton players find clubs, book courts, create or join matches, connect with other players, and manage their badminton activity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Playminton is an early-stage app currently launching with selected partner clubs in Bali, Indonesia. By using Playminton, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information you provide when you sign up or sign in (see "Account information" below).
• Profile information, such as your name, badminton level, playing preferences, profile photo if you add one, and privacy settings.
• Booking and match information, such as clubs, courts, dates, times, participants and related activity.
• Transaction information related to bookings or paid features.
• Communications, such as messages you send in match chats, to other players, or to our support team.
• Technical data, such as device information, app version, logs, crash reports, usage events, and push notification tokens.
• Approximate location, when permitted, to help with club discovery and local features.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and profile.
• Process court bookings, match participation, cancellations and related activity.
• Show nearby clubs, available courts and time slots.
• Enable matchmaking and communication between players.
• Send confirmations, reminders, support replies and app notifications.
• Improve app reliability, security and user experience.
• Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or technical issues.
• Comply with legal, tax and platform requirements.

4. Account information

You can create a Playminton account using your email address, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in. Depending on the sign-in method, we may receive your name and email address from the provider.

You may also provide additional profile details, such as your phone number or WhatsApp number, badminton level, preferred playing information, and a profile photo. You can review and update most of this information in the app.

5. Bookings and payments

When you book a court or use a paid feature, we collect information about the booking, such as the club, court, date, time, price and status.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Xendit. These providers handle your payment details under their own privacy policies and security standards. Playminton does not store full card numbers or card security codes. Some booking and payment records may be shared with the relevant partner club to manage your reservation.

6. Location and club discovery

With your permission, Playminton may use your device's approximate location to show nearby clubs and improve local discovery. You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings. If you do not enable location, you can still use the app and browse clubs.

7. Communications and support

Playminton lets you communicate with other players through match chats and direct messages, and to contact our support team. We process the content of these communications to operate the messaging features, provide support, and keep the community safe.

We may also send you service messages and push notifications about bookings, matches and account activity. You can control push notifications in your device settings.

8. Analytics and app performance

We may collect usage and diagnostic information, such as app interactions, performance data, logs and crash reports, to understand how Playminton is used and to improve stability and features. Where possible, this information is used in an aggregated or de-identified way.

9. Third-party services

We rely on third-party service providers to operate Playminton. These may include providers for authentication and sign-in, payments, email delivery, error monitoring and crash reporting, hosting and databases, analytics, maps, push notifications, and app distribution.

These providers process information on our behalf, or under their own policies where they act as independent controllers (for example, sign-in and payment providers). We share only the information needed for them to provide their service.

10. Data sharing

We may share limited information with:

• Partner badminton clubs, as needed to manage bookings, courts, availability and customer support.
• Other players, when you create, join or participate in a match (for example, your name, profile photo and level).
• Payment providers, as needed to process payments and refunds.
• Service providers that help us operate the app, as described above.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights, users or partners.

We do not sell your personal information.

11. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide Playminton and for the purposes described in this policy. Some information, such as booking and payment records, may be retained longer where required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security or other legal obligations.

12. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:

• From inside the app, or
• From our public account deletion page at https://playminton.app/delete-account, or
• By emailing us at support@playminton.app.

After a verified request, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except information we are required or permitted to keep (for example, certain booking, payment or legal records). Requests are usually processed within 30 days.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. However, no app or online service can guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials confidential.

14. Children's privacy

Playminton is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

15. International users

Playminton is operated with the help of service providers that may be located in different countries. Your information may be processed and stored outside your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. By using Playminton, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in those locations.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use of Playminton after an update means you accept the revised policy.
